Developed by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Directorate of Parks, Gardens and Green Areas, the Istanbul Play Master Plan is Turkey’s first comprehensive framework focused on play. The project redefines Istanbul’s public spaces by shifting from isolated playgrounds to a holistic vision of a playable city. Through citywide analyses, it defines strategic goals and actions that support inclusive, accessible, and interconnected play environments, while encouraging collaboration across municipal departments.

The core values of Play Istanbul were used as a foundation to establish a playful, colorful, and eye-catching design direction. Presenting the technical information provided in a manner that was as fluid and understandable as possible was an important goal in order to spread strategy of the value attributed to the play scene in Istanbul.
